Time doesn't heal all wounds

A sadness within lingers
in my heart
in my soul
in my center of being
deep inside
Sometimes it seeps out
in ugly
poisonous
black
to remind me
of a time when I had a hope
a desire
a wish

Memories of an achingly short time
when a light inside flickered
cautiously
delicately
dreamily

But the music stopped.

Two - not one
quiet
still
frozen in time

The light snuffed out.

I am shattered
empty
lost
Tears flow
and my heart aches
when I recall the moment
when life became death
and dreams became the sadness
that lingers
inside

Fishes

A man
with sea green eyes
opens his mouth and little fishes tumble out

A haiku to the woman in the drugstore yesterday

I don't envy you
shopping with four raucous kids
You...oblivious

Donut Friday

Pink box you tantilize me
but I will not give in
I know what a chocolate covered donut tastes like
sweet
sticky
sweet
with silky smooth chocolate on top
airy in the middle
it smooshes a bit when I take a bite
the taste lingers a bit
but the calories
oh the calories
they will not
Pink box you tantilize me
but I will not give in

Hello

This blog is for my poems.

Words that I string together to express feelings, observations, and opinion

...or sometimes just because I like the way the words fit together.
